Rogelio Arellano is the co-founder and CTO of Citruslabs, a clinical research organization that runs affordable clinical trials and consumer perception studies for consumer health and wellness brands. He leads engineering and the technology platform that recruits and matches trial participants.
Originally from Mexico, he began his career in software — including roles as a software engineer at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles — and holds an MSc in Global Innovation Management from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, where he met his co-founders Susanne Mitschke and Patrick Renner.
The three first built MindMate, an award-winning app for people living with cognitive decline — a cause close to Rogelio, who helped care for his grandfather with Alzheimer’s for seven years — before founding Citruslabs. He has twice been named to Forbes 30 Under 30 (2018 and 2020) as part of the founding team and is a Techstars alum.
