Speaker 1:
- ready one Embrace continuous learning stay curious and committed whether it's a new technology to try we all have those on our list a new skill or dedication for A New Perspective continuous learning keeps you adaptable and Innovative what are new technologies and skills that you are committing to learning in 2024 and what are your time blocks and time frames to master
- them number two set clear achievable goals and Define what success looks like for you this goes back to taking the time to dream one thing that guests of the podcast brought up a lot this year was how to set goals some used goal setting platforms some decided what they wanted in 5 years and one year from now and worked backwards others set goals for what they wanted to achieve by the end of the year and created smaller measurable goals to get them there take time to figure out what success looks like for you then think through and plan out the goal setting process you want to take to get you
- there number three develop resilience challenges and failures are inevitable developing resilience allows you to bounce back from setbacks and learn from experiences something that I accomplished this year that I had no idea I would we all have those things that we enjoy doing if you're a listener of the podcast you know I love to run I ran full and half marathons before my twins were born and until this year and did not think I would ever run another one although I wanted to at the beginning of the year I had no idea I would train to run not one but three half marathons thank you Erica Pauline and Rose I would not have done it without you one of the things that encouraged is a success mindset is adaptability I ended up running the Santa Barbara and Long Beach half marathons so I ran two half marathons which felt amazing I was supposed to run the third Malibu half marathon but it was a day of my twins birthday I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up that I would be able to host not one but two birthday parties that weekend juggle sports for two athletic children and run a half marathon the pickup times for the race packets and bibs an adaptability reminder I should have checked the box to have my B mailed to me but somehow during sign up months ahead of time I did not the only times to pick up the race packets and bibs were in Malibu an hour away from where I live during both of my twins birthday parties the third half marathon was not looking good for me when I say I'm going to do something I do all that I can to keep my word and follow through so when I woke up on the morning of the day of the Malibu half marathon I was determined to make it 13.1 mil and probably more that day I ran 6 mil in the morning went to a birthday party and event for my twins then to my son's baseball game when I got home it was late and dark I was tired but determined ran an additional four miles to end the night at 13.5 when I finally fell asleep I did not cross the finish line and get the metal like I planned but I did keep the distance and promise to myself having the adaptability and determination will get you through the challenging days to the winds even if the wind does not look exactly like you planned and as you guess I'm already
- planning 2024 races number four cultivate a positive attitude a positive mindset helps in overcoming obstacles focus on Solutions rather than problems and maintain a positive outlook even in difficult situations one thing I've been doing to maintain a positive mindset is five and 10 minute meditations we all have five or 10 minutes we can find in our day to create a positive mindset for ourselves my favorite are pellaton meditations Cody for a 5-minute meditation in the morning and Ross for 10 to 30 minutes before you fall asleep if you're a listener of the show you know I moved to LA at 19 and supported myself until meeting my husband years later the only way I could do it through the hard times and stressful days to accomplish the wins in my career that I set out to and to continue to have the drive and determination was to cultivate a positive mindset and through morning and evening meditations cultivating a positive mindset also makes life a lot
- more fun number five build a strong Network surround yourself with people who Inspire and support you for this I thank you listeners and the she built it Community I would not be doing this without you I'm also grateful for my team we put heart into each episode that we bring to you we make sure it brings knowledge inspires you and encourages you to make the leaps in your life that you deserve what are new networks and communities that you can be a part of or be more active in in 2024 that will bring additional business and clients inspiration and fun to your life thank you for joining me this week and until next time Feel the fear and make your
