Privacy & Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and analytics, what we collect, and the choice you always have.
The short version
She Built It uses a single, privacy-conscious analytics tool to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use cookies for advertising. If you are visiting from Europe, we ask for your consent before any analytics cookies are set — and declining means nothing is tracked.
Cookies we use
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We keep our use of them to a minimum:
- Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only if you accept them. They help us measure things like which pages are popular and how people find us.
- Your consent choice. We store your accept/decline decision in your browser's local storage so we don't have to ask you again on every visit. This is not shared with anyone.
Google Analytics
When you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated information about your visit — such as the pages you view, roughly where in the world you're visiting from, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
This information helps us understand what content is useful and where to improve. We do not use it to identify you personally, and it is never used for advertising. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded, no analytics cookies are set, and no data is sent.
For more detail on how Google handles data, see Google's own Privacy Policy.
Your choice & control
You are always in control. Visitors in Europe (the EU, EEA and UK) are asked to accept or decline analytics cookies before any are set. You can change your mind at any time.
to review or update your choice. You can also clear cookies and site data through your browser at any time.
