Speaker 1: Have you ever looked around your business or your work and thought, "I know I'm capable of more. So, what's next?" Maybe you've outgrown your current role. Maybe you're ready to pivot. Or maybe the world around you has shifted faster than you expected. That's when upskilling becomes your bridge. Not just to the next role or gaining the next client, but to the next version of
Speaker 1: you. Welcome to the Sheila podcast. I'm your host, Melanie Bar. Today we're talking about upskilling. How intentionally learning and evolving in areas like AI, communication, leadership, and project management can help you move up or pivot into something new. This isn't just about staying current. It's about staying curious. It's about knowing that when you decide to grow, opportunities start showing up in ways that you couldn't plan.
Speaker 1: Recently, I had one of those look around moments. I'm so proud of the incredible work our team at She Built It Media is doing. Our clients are thriving. Our projects are meaningful. But something in me whispered, "It's time to level up." I could see where the industry is headed deeper into AI, organic media, and measurable growth. And I realized my clients needed more. Not because what we offered isn't enough, but because the world keeps evolving, and I want to evolve right along with it. So, I started asking myself daily, how can I level up? That question became my guide. I don't have all the answers. But the moment I started searching, doors began to open. Conversations happened that I
Speaker 1: didn't expect. Opportunities appeared. The universe or God or whatever higher power you believe in has a way of meeting you when you start looking with intention. That question led me to expand our team, bring in new expertise, and grow in ways to support our clients.
Speaker 1: And it reminded me that growth doesn't end when things are going well. It begins there. That's what upskilling really is. staying awake to your potential. It's saying, "I'm proud of where I am, but I'm not done yet." If
Speaker 1: you're a leader, learning to communicate with empathy and clarity can change how your team responds to you. If you're a business owner, understanding AI or project management might give you back time and focus. And if you're ready for a shift, learning something new might be that spark that leads you to your next
Speaker 1: chapter. Upskilling isn't about being behind. It's about being brave enough to build what's next. So, here's my challenge to you. Think of one area you've been curious about. Maybe it's a new technology, a leadership skill, or a creative direction you've been afraid to try. Ask yourself, "What would leveling up look like for me right now?" You
Speaker 1: don't need to overhaul your life. Just take one step. Talk to someone who's already doing what you want to do. Watch content about it or sign up for a class. I just took an AI workshop with forma media. I highly recommend it. The point is to move because movement is where clarity lives. And when you do, you'll be amazed by what starts showing up. The people, the ideas, and the opportunities that align with your new direction.
Speaker 1: Looking back, that question, how can I level up? Changed everything for me. It turned uncertainty into action and reminded me that growth always begins with curiosity. And that's what I want for you to know that your next season of success might just be one skill, one idea, or one brave decision away. Thank
Speaker 1: you for listening to the Shiba podcast. If this episode encouraged you to explore what's next, share with a friend who's ready to grow, too. And remember, you were meant to build a business, a career, and a life that you truly enjoy. Until next time, keep learning, keep growing, and keep showing up for your next level.
